To understand the unique flavors you are about to experience, you must first understand its roots. Actually its prehispanic roots. The Tiquila Tribe from Amatitan, Mexico learned the essential process, quite by accident. The legend has it that a few tribesmen witnessed a bolt of lightning strike an Agave plant which boiled the liquid inside. When the plant cooled, they tasted the nectar from the pina (center). They duplicated and perfected the process by boiling and fermenting the plant and pressing the liquid from the cooked pinas.

           Tukys is still made in the Jalisco region of Mexico where the magic began. By adding soft wonderful flavors to the already perfect "wine of the gods", Tukys is the original flavored tequila. From the 16th century, Tukys has been grown, processed and rested in the birthplace of the event.
